Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily hospital operations, including departments like nursing, finance, and human resources.- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control measures.- Analyze financial reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance patient care and hospital services.- Collaborate with healthcare providers to set performance goals.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise hospital staff, including department heads and administrative personnel.- Foster a positive work environment and promote professional development.
Quality Improvement:
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to improve patient care and outcomes.- Conduct regular evaluations of hospital services and procedures.
Patient Relations:
- Address patient complaints and concerns, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction.- Promote a patient-centered approach across the facility.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the hospital adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.- Prepare for and manage audits and inspections.
Community Relations:
- Serve as a liaison between the hospital and the community, promoting health initiatives and partnerships.- Engage with local stakeholders to understand community health needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.- Experience: 5+ years in healthcare administration, with leadership experience in a hospital setting.- Skills:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in healthcare regulations and financial management.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
Working Conditions:
- Typically works in an office environment within the hospital.- May require long hours, including evenings and weekends, to address administrative needs and emergencies.
