Workday business analyst

Role: Business Analyst (Workday)Years of Exp: 6+ YearsJob Type: FulltimeWork Mode: Remote/HybridRoles and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Senior / Lead Workday Functional Consultant to join our offshore team and play a critical role in implementing and configuring Workday solutions. This role is a great foundation for growth in Product Management, functional consulting, and/or business operations.The position requires strong Business Analyst(BA) skills combined with Workday functional expertise. The ideal candidate should be able to understand complex business processes, translate them into effective Workday configurations, and communicate seamlessly with stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Partner with business stakeholders and Product Management to understand requirements, processes, and business needs.Translate business requirements into Workday configurations, ensuring solutions are scalable and aligned with organizational goals.Configure and maintain Workday modules as per business requirements.Prepare functional documentation, workflows, and support testing/UAT cycles.Ensure timely delivery of Workday configurations and support change management activities.Act as an anchor resource for the offshore team and provide leadership in establishing processes, governance, and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, optimize solutions, and provide ongoing support.Mentor and guide junior consultants as the offshore team grows.Required Skillset:6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant, with at least 2–3 years working with Workday configurations.Strong understanding of HR processes and business workflows.Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and relevant modules (certifications preferred).Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience in Agile environments, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration.Desired Qualifications:Workday module certifications.Prior experience in setting up offshore/remote delivery models.Exposure to Product Management career paths.Ability to mentor, lead, and set up best practices for a growing offshore team.Experience configuring and customizing other back-office Saa S platforms such as Net Suite.Our Offeringsfor Employee BenefitsHealth Insurance for Employee+Spouse+Two Children+ParentsGPA – For EmployeeHybrid workingCompliance – PF and GratuityAbout AcademianWebsite: Academian is a carve out of an existing 22 years IT company – Intraedge Inc ( Academian is a service, products and learning development company in the education domain with a current headcount of 500+ team members.
