Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture new plastic injection moulds and press tool dies as per design and drawing.

  • Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of tools; identify and replace worn-out parts.

  • Assemble components of the tool/die with precise fitting and tolerance control.

  • Operate tool room machines like milling, surface grinding, drilling, EDM/WEDM, lathe, and CNC as required.

  • Check individual tool parts using precision instruments (micrometer, height gauge, dial gauge, etc.) to ensure dimensional accuracy.

  • Assist in mould/die trials and correct tool-related issues arising during production.

  • Maintain tool history records, service logs, and tool modification reports.

  • Provide feedback to design and production teams for tool improvements and productivity enhancement.

  • Follow all tool room safety protocols and contribute to 5S and TPM activities.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting 2D/3D tool drawings and GD&T symbols.

  • Skilled in using hand tools and measuring instruments.

  • Hands-on experience with tool room machinery (CNC, EDM, surface grinding, etc.).

  • Understanding of tool steels, heat treatment, and die life cycle.

  • Basic understanding of plastic flow and die casting behaviour.

  • Exposure to mould flow analysis or die simulation software (preferred).

  • Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and precision working.

Salary :- Rs. 15,000/- to Rs 22,000/- per month

Experience - 2 to 3 Years
