Role & responsibilities

  • Experience in Procurement, Material Management, Vendor Management & Projects Executions.
  • Proficient in managing purchasing function for the procurement in various domain (Cylinder Valve, ECU, Injectors, CNG KIit components, Imports, Capital Equipments).
  • Catalyst in achieving organization target by initiating different VA-VE initiatives, cost reduction initiatives & achieving cost reduction over annual buying.
  • Strategic procurement policies, supplier identification, selection, up gradation, improvement & consolidation activities.
  • Supplier dispute handling & resolution, maintaining harmony & improving company overall image for stakeholders.
  • Ensured availability of materials in adequate Just-in-time (JIT) stock to facilitate productivity, performed quality checks and controls on defective products and returned them to suppliers thus reducing rejection rate.

Compliance to Import processes and actively participate in brain-storming for Global Process Improvement.

  • Articulating the procurement strategy for the plant to ensure consistent sales growth responsible for procurement of Metallic components.
  • Driving Negotiations and Cost reductions through various activities/tools to ensure operational efficiency through cost reduction on Annual buying.
  • Managing the team and developing the same towards achieving organizational objectives on time.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce purchasing costs by improving the organizations buying patterns, long-term contracts/ sourcing negotiations, resourcing/ localization.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholder management; developing and sustaining long-term relations
  • Analyzing and implementing Industry Best Practices to attain process excellence and realigning purchasing organization to support growth and stride towards Vertical Integration.
  • Formulating contingency plans; maintaining & controlling activities as per scheduled plant budget.
  • Preparing ZBC required by management for purpose such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work required in upcoming projects.
  • Rolling forecast to suppliers to ensure long lead time and items availability at supplier end to cater needs.
  • Organizing all Import activities for the unit ensuring timely delivering the consignment without incurring any penalties.
  • Liaising with local and global stakeholders across the group companies worldwide for global sourcing projects, relocation projects, global negotiations and global change management
  • Handling independently necessary Govt. Approvals from MOEF, CCOE, Ministry of Petroleum.
  • Successfully developing CNG kit components locally for cost saving
  • Successfully Implemented few saving ideas in Import activities.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates who have worked in Automotive Industry, would be preferred.

Experience of SAP Required

Capability to Lead SCM Team of 6-7 staff
