Manager/Sr. Manager - Procurement

The Procurement Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, machinery, and services essential for the production process within the iron and steel industry. The role ensures timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilitites :

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials (e.g., iron ore, coal, scrap metal), machinery, and services specific to the iron and steel production process.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve the best value while ensuring quality and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and supply continuity.
  • Monitor market trends, prices, and new product developments related to iron and steel raw materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the production and quality teams to understand material specifications and requirements.
  • Manage purchase orders, procurement documentation, and vendor performance records.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management to avoid material shortages or excess stock.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and identify alternative sourcing options when necessary.
  • Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery and manage any supply chain disruptions.
