Job Description Job Description : Car sales executives oversee the sales of automobiles in an auto sales company or dealership. Their job description entails supervising sales operations to ensure optimal sales efficiency and maximum profit. In performing their duties, car sales executives contact potential clients with interest in procuring automobiles to offer them sales deals. They maintain a list of new/existing customers and occasionally communicate with them to discuss business opportunities. They also canvass and lobby to secure contracts for the supply of auto units to government agencies, companies or private establishments. The role of the car sales executive also involves monitoring the auto sales industry to identify current product pricing, competing/new products and new techniques of merchandising. They develop and implement strategies to enhance sales efficiency and increase generated revenue. They also interact with customers to identify their requirements and assist them in selecting the car that meets their specifications. As part of their duties, car sales executives supervise and guide operations of sales managers and sales team to ensure they are in line with set standards. They oversee the processing of client orders to ensure timely delivery of purchased units. Usually, car sales executives conduct negotiations with clients to reach a profitable bargain. They proffer recommendations to customers on car models that best meet their requirements/preference. They also set sales objectives and establish ground plans for achieving set targets. In fulfilling their work description, car sales executives oversee the merchandising and display of cars in a sales outlet. They collect, analyze, and interpret record of sales/transactions to ensure balanced accounts. They also process requests of customers who wish to part-exchange their current car for a new one. Car sales executives often conduct inspection of automobiles to ensure they are in good condition. They determine conditions for discount as well as the percentage discount given to customers on outright purchase of a car unit. They also maintain contact with customers to provide post-sales services, obtain customer feedback, and assist with the resolution of customer issues or challenges. The car sales executive job position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in any field of study, preferably in a business-related discipline such as marketing, finance, or economics. Some of the qualities needed to excel on the job include customer service, negotiation, and math skills. Must have 2+ years of experience in Car Showroom Male candidates only
