You will be part of the India Cluster, Cement Sales Team who is dedicated to sell Capital and Services in India. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in a multinational organization and in an environment involving different cultures and different challenges.

Purpose of the role

The Business Development Manager position is responsible for driving the Sales and business enhancement of our Capital and Service business in cement. This is an individual contributor role working within our team reporting to the Head of India cluster – Cement and to Work closely with the Area Sales Managers and other stake holders.

Your responsibilities
To enhance the Capital and Service business in India cluster - Cement.

Sales and business development, including the support and indirect management of regional Sales teams within the product line. Development of growth strategies and marketing material. Managing customer relationships, improving Capital and Service business retention and increasing client base. Develop new business models for the Capital and Service business line. Establish strategies to protect the installed base of FLSmidth cement and ensure the customers are supported technically and operationally within the broader FLSmidth cement products support networks. Be responsible for new business development by prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business. Manage and review business proposals and contracts to clearly detail the value proposition. Engage with diverse team (Sales, and product support teams) to continually increase customer satisfaction. Forecast Sales targets and support the Sales team in meeting these targets. Ensure compliance within the company’s CRM and related systems. Gather and manage the flow of market, product, and customer intelligence for the Capital and Service line. 100-120 days in a year.

What you bring

Degree in Engineering or Equivalent with 8-10 years of experience. Degree in Management studies / marketing would be an added advantage. Demonstrate business acumen to develop realistic business plans with stretch targets and the clear plan to reach those targets. Demonstrate ability to develop strong relationships both internally and with external clients with strong customer service skills. Computer proficient, Team player, Pro-active, determined and dynamic. Good planning and organizing skills. Knowledge on FLSmidth Cement product would be added advantage. Proficient in English and Hindi. Residential location would be anywhere in India.
