ROLE DESCRIPTION: Regional Sales Manager - (Head of Poultry Business, South Asia) S9

Role Definition

Lead the Poultry sales team, sales process, and customer interactions for poultry for South Asian (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka). Accountable for the development and execution of the Poultry sales plan via direct sales team, distributors and agents in the assigned region, and the optimal deployment of the business footprint for effective reach and delivery of solutions to key target customers. Establish sustainable long term business relationships with key customers in the assigned region. Under supervision from manager, operates with discretion in decision making.

General Responsibilities

· Lead the Poultry sales effort in the South Asia region and the work of the sales team and maintain strong collateral CFR with other regional managers and their sales teams, technical group, regional marketing, and supply chain personnel across REGION.

· Build capabilities of sales team into a broad, multiproduct/program and customer focused region.

· Manage the poultry business of South Asia region to maximize profit short term and long term while creating customer value.

· Develop and approve monthly S&OP forecast to meet customer requirements and Novus DOH objectives.

· Maintain close relationships with customers to understand pains and decision-making drivers.

· Develop Novus's sales strategies and forecast sales volumes for all poultry specialty/additive product/channels in South Asia.

· Collaborates with Regional Species, category, and Marcom teams to develop strategy and execute the species strategy in South Asia.

· Responsible for ensuring team is compliant with all policies

· Responsible for driving sales

· Adhere to the Novus Management System (NMS), Novus Integrity System (NIS) and all policies and procedures related to position assignment.

General Guidance for Key Knowledge / Skills/ Experience

· Advanced degree (MS/MBA), Bachelor’s degree or comparable training and 10+ years of sales experience in poultry specialty/additive segment

· 3+ years management experience in poultry specialty/additive sales or related teams in strategic regions of South Asia.

· Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of poultry sales and marketing to the completion of complex assignments.

· Proven ability to manage direct sales teams, agents, and distribution channels with adequate planning and execution.

· Proven understanding of the livestock industry, thorough knowledge of the animal nutrition and health businesses.

· Proven ability in developing and implementation of country level poultry sales plans and business strategies that successfully and consistently achieve sales targets for region.

· Proven ability to establish, grow and manage long-term relationships with customers for optimum results.

· Strong leadership skills to set direction and keep multicultural, multifunctional teams reaching regional and global objectives.

· Strong cross-functional skills to effectively work with colleagues, build relationships, manage conflict, and achieve broader group objectives.

· Strong business management and financial skills to be able to understand and carry accountability for country-wide business plans, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statements.

· Plan the work of the unit. Discuss the planning options with direct reports seeking for their suggestions. Assign clear and tangible tasks with specific QQTRs.

· Set context for direct reports on a regular basis, providing the larger picture within which they are working.

· Manage task assignment and personal effectiveness appraisal within region and respective teams.

· Provide frequent, accurate, specific, and timely feedback.

· Coach Individuals and team to ensure an integrated and collaborative effort to competently service customers

· Engage in the training and development of team members and manage succession planning

· Foster process improvement and cross - functional collaboration

Manager - Once - Removed (MOR)

· Ensure effective managerial leadership for direct and indirect reports

· Manage the development of indirect reports beyond their current role

Cross - Functional Relationships (CFRs)

· Technical Services, Marketing, Customer Service, World Area Logistics, Product Management, Research & Development
