Role: The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is single point of contact serving to the customers for all their service and support requirements. The TAM is responsible for the delivery of contractually agreed services and maintains customer contact. TAM collaborates with customer project team, Sales, Service Delivery, Support and the CoEs. TAM is responsible for maintaining and growing existing business through excellent customer experience, value creation and building long-lasting customer relationships. TAM must have experience in the Cloud, infrastructure, network, security, etc, and must have been a customer-facing person .


Experience & Skills required:


  • Must have Over 15 years of experience in IT industry in SAP Application life cycle maintenance, BASIS Administration, NetWeaver Technology consultant and SAP Security with emphasis on design, implementation, and upgrading, troubleshooting and day-today support.
  • Expertise in Installation and Post-installation activities of SAP solutions on supported RDBMS (Sybase, HANA DB, DB2, Oracle, MS SQL, is a plus)
  • Should have worked on various SAP solutions.
  • Installations and post-installation activities of SAP solutions.
  • Implement and execute backup policy along with disaster drill.
  • SAP solution upgrades (Solution manager, ERP)
  • SAP Frontend server installation and configuration.
  • Planning, preparation, implementation, troubleshooting & application life cycle management of SAP Business suite.
  • Expertise in deploying SAP solutions on-premises and on cloud environments.
  • Taking ownership of customer issues and following problems through to resolution.
  • Awareness of industry’s latest technology trends and applications.
  • Work with the customer project team in identifying the business needs and promote suitable solutions.
  • Ensure that all Customer projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to details and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and communicate technical concepts and challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator with the ability to influence without authority.
  • TAM should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Improving Customer Service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth.
  • Customer service orientation and act as a Customer Advocate.
  • Promotes Customer Loyalty and builds trust and transparency with clients.
  • TAM should be skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that they oversee.
  • TAM to manage, coach, mentor and govern technical consultants working on the projects.
  • Familiarity with business processes such as sales, distribution, or supply chain management
  • Self-driven and proactive nature
  • Has extensive experience in handling global customers in US, EMEA, APAC & ANZ
  • Should have empathy and the ability to pacify irate customers and be a customer advocate
  • Own the complete customer project delivery experience, strive to exceed desired service levels, and act as an escalation point for customer issues when necessary.
  • Be the voice of the customer and ensure the services are delivered.
  • Generate and provide necessary management reports.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews with key customers.
  • Contribute to revenue generation activities account planning, account mining and farming Implement process improvements or automation to gain efficiency.


Education and Qualification / Skills and Competencies


  • B.Tech/B.E.,M.E./M.Tech (Computer Science or any other Engineering field).
  • SAP Basis or SAP HANA certification will be an added advantage.
  • Any major cloud certifications will be an added advantage (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, IBM etc.)
