Freelance Consultant

Our Client, a global leader in energy management and automation, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Freelance Tester to join their team, focusing on Power Management Systems (Power Monitoring Expert: PME/ EcoStruxure Power Operation: EPO) within the company ecosystem. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of our power management solutions, enabling facilities teams to analyze, troubleshoot, and make informed decisions about their electrical distribution systems. You will be responsible for testing software and hardware Compatibility, validating functionalities, and ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency and customer requirements.

Specifically looking for someone who can quickly adapt to our current tool ecosystem and efficiently learn to use various tools to support frontend testing activities. They are not looking to test the software itself, but the material that flows through it. It would also be beneficial to have hands-on experience in project execution roles—particularly in areas like supply chain, order booking, or order management.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Execution:

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements for EcoCare - Power Management Systems offer.

Execute various types of testing, including functional, integration, system, performance, and non-regression testing, across hardware and software compatibilities.

Conduct manual testing across UAT and pre-production environments, including ERP and several systems in Schneider Ecosystem

Conduct testing on E2E Offer data flow and E2E execution process & testing.

Defect Management:

Identify, document, track, and prioritize defects, working closely with development teams for resolution.

Perform root cause analysis for identified issues.

Conduct retesting of resolved defects and ensure their proper closure. Conduct non regression testing based on releasing defect solving

System Knowledge & Validation:

Gain a deep understanding of the EcoCare PM System, PME, and EPO system architectures and functionalities.

Understand and test the integration of various Schneider Electric platform like bFS/bFO, ERP like SAP or Oracle, Quotation Tool like CPQ4S, New Advisor Platform, mySchneider, Totango

Validate data flow and communication between connected products and consultative report creation

Test user interfaces and reporting features

Support the preparation of test environments and data, ensuring alignment with local market configurations and offer tiers

Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and documentation.

Collaboration & Communication:

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product management, development, and support to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Provide clear and concise feedback on testing progress, issues, and risks.

Participate in design reviews and requirements discussions to provide early feedback on testability.

Skills Required

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (preferably in Computer Applications).
• Understanding of EPO, PME systems and IoT, AI, Power Management segments as a whole.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and ERP/Salesforce environments.
• Experience in operational roles, where you have played a direct role in the execution of sales-to-order processes such as tendering, order booking, contract management, supply chain, etc
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities - with quality as a main focus.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Required Tool Usage Experience:

• CRMs - Preference to Salesforce
• ERPs - Specifically SAP or ORACLE
• Azure DevOPs, JIRA, Jama Connect - Project Management tools
