Job Summary:


As a City Head for a ride-hailing app, you will be overseeing and managing all operations and business activities within a specific city or region. You will play a critical role in driving growth, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring the overall success of the ride-hailing operations in your assigned area. Your strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership skills will be crucial in ensuring operational excellence, and delivering a superior experience to Captains and Customers


Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and market penetration in the assigned city or region.
  • Ensure seamless transportation services by overseeing day-to-day operations, optimizing driver allocation, reducing wait times, and enhancing service quality through KPI monitoring, data analysis, and strategic implementation.
  • Identify new opportunities for expansion, assess market trends, and formulate effective strategies to increase market share.
  • Monitor and manage the financial performance of the ride-hailing operations in the city. Prepare budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to handle emergencies, disruptions, or other unforeseen events. Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure the safety and well-being of captains and customers during crisis situations.
  • Cross Collaboration internally as well as with stakeholders of Data product, Finance, Marketing (Growth and design), Research, Legal
  • Stay updated on local transportation regulations and laws, ensuring full compliance and adherence to legal requirements. Liaise with regulatory authorities and handle any compliance-related issues or inquiries.
  • Lead, motivate and guide a team of managers and operational staff, including supervisors, support agents, and coordinators.


Job Requirements:


  • Engineering Graduate or Graduate / MBA in Business Management / Marketing / Operations.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in operations management, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or technology industry / App based industry with 2+ years in managing Ground level ops and also worked in data to drive business growth
  • Good Experience in Excel or Google sheet / SQL / Tableau or PowerBI. Certification is an added advantage (Certification not Mandatory )
  • Must have an understanding of both Customer and Captain (Driver) KPI in Ride Hailing industry / Delivery apps / Operations, etc
  • Must have Operations Management and Business strategy experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to think strategically about business and product opportunities, and a demonstrated track record of leadership.
  • Knowledge of ride hailing industry and market trends is a plus
  • Must have an idea about BTL to understand the marketplace for creating demand and brand awareness
