Role: Business Development Specialist - Guindy, Chennai

What you'll be doing:

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to develop new business opportunities by identifying, engaging, and nurturing relationships with potential customers. To be successful in this role, you should have prior experience building pipeline from scratch and meeting/exceeding quotas in the technology services industry. You will use your communication and consultative skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers-from first contact through qualified opportunity stage-working closely with Account Executives to advance and close deals. Key Responsibilities:

- Qualify leads from self-research, marketing campaigns and events as sales opportunities.

- Engage prospective clients through professional, multi-channel outreach (calls, emails, social, events) and executive networking.

- Present our solutions and value propositions to potential clients; run discovery to map pain points to outcomes.

- Build long-term, trusted relationships with stakeholders across target accounts; multi-thread key opportunities.

- Proactively seek new business opportunities and market whitespace; track competitive and industry trends.

- Schedule discovery/strategy meetings with prospective clients and coordinate next steps with AEs.

- Provide weekly and monthly pipeline, forecast, and activity reports to leadership.

- Stay up to date with our technology service offerings and relevant industry developments.

What we seek in you:

- 5-10 years in business development / inside sales / lead generation for IT Consulting & Services.

- Proven success selling to the Manufacturing industry in India (US/Global exposure a plus).

- Track record of meeting activity, pipeline, and revenue targets; adept with CRM and sales execution platforms.

- Hands-on with omni-channel outbound and account research; strong discovery & qualification (e.g., BANT/MEDDIC familiarity is a plus).

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills; ability to engage senior decision-makers.

- Strong time management; entrepreneurial, adaptable, and collaborative; able to mentor junior team members when needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business Administration or relevant field preferred (not mandatory).
