Role Overview :

We're looking for a Lead Product Designer (UI/UX) to join our team in Mumbai. You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering customer-facing digital products that impact millions.

This is a hands-on leadership position, best suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings proven experience designing high-traffic B2C productsespecially mobile-first applications.

Youll also mentor and guide a team of designers, ensuring design quality and consistency across experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end design process from discovery to final UI delivery

- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups

- Design across platforms primarily mobile (Android/iOS) and responsive web

- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to align on user needs and product goals

- Conduct user research and usability testing; iterate based on feedback

- Mentor junior designers, review their work, and provide constructive feedback

- Foster a strong design culture within the product team through knowledge-sharing and collaboration

- Maintain and evolve the Kotak 811 design system to ensure brand and UX consistency

- Champion accessibility, performance, and responsive design best practices

Requirements :

- 8+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UI/UX Designer, with at least 2 years in a lead or mentoring role

- Proven experience designing B2C digital products, especially mobile apps

- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design thinking and execution

- Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.

- Deep knowledge of UX best practices, UI patterns, typography, and color theory

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to distill complex workflows into intuitive interfaces

- Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams
