Description:Job Summary:The Sales Manager will be a dynamic, results-driven professional responsible for maximizing hotel revenue through proactive sales, account management, and strategic market development.This role is critical in driving group, corporate, and leisure business segments to achieve and exceed sales targets.The successful candidate will leverage their strong business acumen and deep understanding of the hospitality market to position Hard Rock Hotel as the premier choice in their respective city (Bangalore or Mumbai).This role requires an individual who embodies the brand's unique energy and 'Amplified Service' philosophy.Key Responsibilities:Sales & Revenue Generation:- Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Create and implement comprehensive sales plans focused on high-potential corporate accounts, group bookings (MICE - Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions), social events, and transient business.- Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual room night and revenue goals for all segments.- Proactive Selling: Conduct aggressive direct sales activities, including cold calling, site inspections, sales calls, and entertainment, to secure new business.- Rate Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate room rates, packages, and contracts in line with the hotel's revenue management strategy to maximize profitability.Account Management & Business Development:- Key Account Portfolio: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and new key accounts, corporate clients, travel agents, and destination management companies (DMCs).- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and economic indicators to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activities, accounts, and contacts within the CRM system (e.g., Opera S&C).- Generate weekly/monthly sales reports detailing production, pipeline, and forecasts.Brand Representation & Collaboration:- Brand Ambassador: Represent the Hard Rock Hotel brand with passion and professionalism at industry events, trade shows, and client presentations.- Inter-Departmental Liaison: Work closely with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing and inventory strategies and collaborate with the Operations and F&B teams to ensure seamless execution of client events and group stays.Candidate Requirements:Education & Experience:- MBA is Mandatory: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a recognized institution is required, preferably in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.- Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years of progressive sales experience within the luxury or upscale hospitality sector is essential.- Prior experience in the Bangalore or Mumbai market is a strong advantage.- Hard Rock Knowledge: A passion for the music, entertainment, and lifestyle associated with the Hard Rock brand.Skills & Competencies:- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English are a must.- Fluency in the local regional language (e.g., Hindi, Marathi, Kannada) is highly desirable.- Negotiation: Proven track record of successful high-value contract negotiation and closing skills.- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and hotel revenue metrics (e.g., RevPAR, ADR).- Technology Proficiency: Expertise in hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and Sales & Catering systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi).- Leadership & Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously and as a collaborative member of a diverse position is available for either the Bangalore, Karnataka or Mumbai, Maharashtra location.
