Job Description: Technical Support Specialist with Sales Focus

Position Overview: The Technical Support Specialist with a Sales Focus is responsible for providing expert technical assistance while also driving sales of technical products and services. This dual role involves resolving technical issues, offering product recommendations, and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective support and sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional technical support and troubleshooting for customers via phone, email, or chat.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to products and services.
  • Offer tailored product recommendations and upsell solutions based on customer needs and technical requirements.
  • Assist customers in understanding product features, benefits, and usage to maximize their value.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, technical issues, and sales opportunities in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and support lead generation.
  • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.
  • Follow up with customers post-support to ensure complete resolution of issues and satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical support and sales.
  • Strong understanding of technical products and services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively balance technical support and sales responsibilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a customer-focused approach.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with [specific technology or industry].
  • Knowledge of [relevant tools or software].
  • Certifications related to technical support or sales.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position.
  • May require occasional travel for client meetings or industry events.
