We are seeking an entrepreneurial and target-driven
General Manager – Business Development
to lead and scale our B2B sales vertical across
higher education institutions
and
corporate training sectors . The ideal candidate will be a senior professional with strong networks, proven results in institutional sales, and a deep understanding of EdTech products, certification programs, and learning transformation models. Key Responsibilities
Own and drive revenue growth by acquiring and managing partnerships with universities, colleges, and corporates across India and South Asia. Develop and execute strategic plans to promote QualityNZ’s education portfolio (certifications, degree pathways, LMS, AI bots, virtual labs, etc.). Lead the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closing, including pitching, proposal development, pricing, contract negotiation, and onboarding. Collaborate with internal product, academic, and operations teams to tailor solutions for clients. Manage a team of regional business development professionals and set KPIs aligned with growth targets. Represent the company at education summits, corporate HR conclaves, expos, and government meetings. Report directly to the CEO and present quarterly growth roadmaps and revenue projections. Required Qualifications & Skills
10+ years of proven experience in institutional sales/business development in the
EdTech ,
Education ,
Corporate L&D , or
Professional Certification
domain. Strong C-level and academic network in Indian universities and corporate HR/LD departments. Ability to pitch tech-enabled learning solutions and build long-term client relationships. Experience in government tendering, strategic alliances, and global university partnerships is a strong advantage. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. MBA or equivalent qualification preferred. What We Offer
