We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Terraform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. You'll play a critical role in building scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. If you're passionate about automation, cloud governance, and mentoring others, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities :
- Design and implement robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and operational efficiency across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and maintain a library of reusable Terraform modules for various cloud infrastructure components, promoting standardization and accelerating deployment cycles.
- Collaborate closely with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and security engineers to optimize cloud deployments, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Guarantee the scalability, security, and compliance of all infrastructure solutions by integrating automated security checks and policy enforcement tools like Checkov and contributing to infrastructure governance using Sentinel or Open Policy Agent (OPA).
- Continuously improve cloud infrastructure reliability through automated provisioning, configuration management, and the implementation of proactive monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog).
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including best practices, coding standards, and Terraform coding guidelines, to foster consistent and high-quality IaC development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Terraform developers and cloud engineers, fostering their technical growth and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
- Write and manage complex Terraform scripts for provisioning, updating, and managing cloud resources across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
- Optimize Terraform configurations for high availability, cost efficiency, and adherence to stringent security policies.
- Integrate Terraform workflows seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and AWS CodePipeline, enabling automated and reliable infrastructure deployments.
- Effectively manage Terraform state files and remote backends using solutions like Terraform Cloud or AWS S3 with DynamoDB locking, ensuring state integrity and collaborative development.
- Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and advanced security best practices directly within IaC deployments, minimizing security risks.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex Terraform-related issues in production and staging environments, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective resolutions.
- Automate infrastructure testing using specialized tools like Terratest and Checkov to validate deployments and enforce compliance before production rollout.
- Contribute to infrastructure governance initiatives, actively enforcing policies and standards across the cloud landscape.
Required Skills :
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing Terraform-based infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their best practices, including hands-on experience provisioning resources in at least two of these environments.
- Proven experience integrating Terraform with DevOps pipelines and automation workflows using tools like CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Hands-on expertise in Terraform security, governance, and policy enforcement, with experience using tools like Terratest and Checkov.
- Proficient in managing Terraform state files and remote backends (e.g., Terraform Cloud, S3 with DynamoDB locking).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience in cloud migration projects and/or designing hybrid cloud architectures.
- Strong understanding of networking, security groups, IAM policies, and other core cloud infrastructure components.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving infrastructure challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members.
