The Head Commissary Officer is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of the commissary department within an organization. This position requires a strong combination of operational expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. The Head Commissary Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the commissary operations, including procurement, inventory management, quality control, and distribution.


Accountabilities and Responsibilities

•Operational Strategy: Monitor and control costs associated with commissary operations. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimization, and supplier negotiation. Responsible for the P&L of the Commissary

•Procurement and Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement process for commissary supplies, equipment, and materials. Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of quality products. Develop and implement inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and costs.

•Quality Control: Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all commissary products meet the organization's standards and regulatory requirements. Implement quality assurance processes, conduct regular inspections, and address any quality issues promptly.

•Distribution and Logistics: Manage the distribution and logistics operations of the commissary department. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to various locations, including retail outlets, catering services, and other designated areas. Optimize distribution routes, monitor transportation costs, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

•Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing commissary team.

•Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.
