Student Success Coach

Position Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Student Success Coach, where you will play a pivotal role in empowering students to achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals. You will work collaboratively with students to ensure they are equipped with the skills, strategies, and support needed for a successful journey from enrolment to career placement.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Coaching and Mentorship:
- Assist students in identifying their core values, strengths, interests, and establishing clarity in academic and career goals using industry-leading assessment tools and methodologies.
- Conduct personalized coaching sessions to help students set academic goals, develop effective study strategies, and overcome challenges.
- Empower students to make informed decisions aligned with their strengths, interests, and goals, fostering personal and professional growth.
- Serve as a mentor, offering guidance, advice, and encouragement to help students navigate academic and personal challenges successfully.
Course Facilitation and Student Engagement:
- Facilitate live Q&A sessions and provide guidance to support students in completing their coursework and assignments.
- Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback to enhance students’ learning experiences.
- Actively respond to student queries via the community platform and 1:1 support tools, ensuring timely resolution of their concerns.
Academic and Career Development Support:
- Support students in exploring career options, developing job search strategies, crafting resumes, and preparing for interviews.
- Organize and facilitate peer-to-peer learning opportunities, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Regularly monitor students' academic progress, attendance, and engagement, and proactively intervene to address any concerns.
Goal Setting and Progress Monitoring:
- Work with students to establish short-term and long-term goals related to academic achievement, personal growth, and career advancement.
- Ensure the timely completion of planned coaching sessions and coursework for all students in a cohort.
Advocacy and Continuous Improvement:
- Advocate for students’ needs and interests within the institute, ensuring access to necessary support services and resources.
- Stay informed about best practices in student success coaching, online education, and career development to continuously enhance coaching effectiveness and outcomes.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of Student Mentoring and Career Coaching experience, preferably Student success coaching
- Bachelor’s degree in human psychology would be good to have.
- Certified professionals with a proven track record of success in a coaching or mentoring capacity.
- Strong in all Human Skills that help students become job ready and achieve success.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to student journey
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
