Role Summary:
Liberal Arts and Feature Writer with journalistic experience who can enhance our storytelling capabilities and create engaging feature stories aligned with our branding strategy. This position will also focus on media monitoring and supporting PR activities.
Responsibilities:
- Proofreading all content for errors and inconsistencies
- Develop content for website pages/sections, online ads, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, ), videos, blogs, newsletters, press releases, Annual reports, white papers, collaterals/brochures
- Public storytelling around the achievements of the University, its faculty and its students and their uniqueness - developing stories from the perspective of a campus journalist for various occasions and various media.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of University administration by exercising discretion in communicating information to faculty, students, staff, and the various publics served by the University.
Key Skills:
- Excellent writing skills with a creative mindset and a keen eye for English grammar and language style
- Ability to adapt writing to different formats, including social media
- Outstanding communication skills. Good command of the language.
- Well-organized, have an eye for detail, multi-tasker with excellent follow-up skills.
- Mature and seasoned, experienced in multiple stakeholder management.
- Take complete ownership of the task at hand without much supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or English with 5 -7 years of work experience.
