This role involves selling payment gateway solutions to ERP providers, Edtech, institutions—schools, colleges, and universities—across India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating leads, converting prospects into merchants, and managing long-term relationships to drive retention and growth.Role & Responsibilities:Identify and target ERP providers, Edtech & educational institutions for payment gateway onboarding Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads across regions Conduct outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings Present tailored payment solutions to decision-makers (finance heads, principals, trustees) Lead negotiations, close deals, and ensure smooth onboarding of new merchants Customize proposals based on institutional payment workflows and fee structures Serve as the primary relationship manager for acquired institutions Monitor transaction volumes, resolve issues, and drive usage growth Identify upsell opportunities (e.g., recurring payments, integrations, analytics) Track competitor offerings and trends in education payments Provide feedback to product and operations teams to improve merchant experience Maintain accurate CRM records and report weekly/monthly performance metrics Collaborate with onboarding, support, and tech teams to ensure merchant successPreferred Qualifications:12 years of B2B sales experience having sold payment gateway solutions, EdTech Solutions, preferably in the Education sector Strong understanding of education industry landscape in India, with demonstrable record of having developed deep commercial relationships Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Understanding of nuances of Payments business is preferred Familiarity with CRM tools and sales automation platforms MBA preferred Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
