A Director of Partnerships for fundraising and business collaboration is responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships that drive revenue and support organizational growth. This role involves identifying and cultivating relationships with potential partners, sponsors, donors, and other stakeholders to secure funding and create mutually beneficial collaborations. Key responsibilities typically include:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute partnership strategies to meet fundraising and business development goals.
  2. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, foundations, donors, and other stakeholders.
  3. Fundraising: Identify and secure funding opportunities through grants, sponsorships, and other revenue-generating activities.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, sales, and program managers to align partnership efforts with overall organizational objectives.
  5. Negotiation and Contracting: Lead negotiations, draft partnership agreements, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  6. Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on partnership performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  7. Networking: Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to expand the partnership network.


Role Description

  • This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Partnerships at INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT in Gurugram. The Director of Partnerships will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships, driving business growth through collaborations, and leading partnership initiatives.

The Director of Partnerships for Fundraising and Business Collaboration is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic partnerships that enhance fundraising efforts and drive business growth. This role will play a crucial part in developing collaborative relationships with corporate partners, foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and other stakeholders to support the organization’s mission and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Partnership Development:

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and other potential donors to support fundraising goals.
  • Develop and implement a partnership strategy that aligns with the organization’s business objectives and growth plans.
  • Explore and secure new business collaboration opportunities that add value to both the organization and its partners.

Fundraising and Revenue Generation:

  • Lead efforts to secure sponsorships, donations, and in-kind support from corporate partners and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to design and execute campaigns, events, and other initiatives that leverage partner resources.
  • Develop and negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefits and compliance with organizational policies

Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, managing all communications, reporting, and engagement activities.
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, program, operations) to integrate partnership activities into broader organizational initiatives.

Business Collaboration:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for joint ventures, co-branded initiatives, and other collaborations that drive business growth.
  • Leverage industry insights and market trends to identify potential new revenue streams and partnership opportunities.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to deliver on partnership commitments and ensure successful outcomes.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships and fundraising efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and present reports on partnership performance, impact, and return on investment (ROI) to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Use data and feedback to refine strategies and improve partnership effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in partnership development, fundraising, or business development, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of securing significant corporate sponsorships, grants, and business collaborations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively about partnership opportunities.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, trends, and compliance issues.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and partnership management tools.
