Job Summary: This position plays a crucial role in identifying, acquiring, and managing land for solar energy projects, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and permitting requirements. This position requires a blend of real estate acumen, regulatory knowledge, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Land Acquisition:

  • Site Identification & Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential sites for solar projects. Conduct due diligence including land surveys, environmental assessments, and feasibility studies. Knowledge of Land Acquisition Act-1894.
  • Negotiation & Acquisition: Negotiate land lease or purchase agreements with landowners, brokers, and other stakeholders. Ensure terms align with company objectives and project requirements. N.O.C taken from land owners & Panchayat.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, local communities, and governmental agencies. Address any concerns or objections raised during the acquisition process.
  • Documentation & Record Keeping: Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to land acquisition. Maintain accurate records and databases of acquired properties.

Regulatory Affairs:

  • Compliance Management: Ensure that all solar projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations and permitting requirements. Stay updated on changes in regulatory frameworks affecting the solar industry.
  • Permit Applications: Prepare, submit, and manage permit applications for solar projects. Coordinate with regulatory agencies and respond to inquiries or requests for additional information.
  • Policy Advocacy: Monitor and influence policy developments related to solar energy and land use. Advocate for favourable regulations and support legislative initiatives that benefit the solar industry.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of regulatory approvals, permits, and correspondence. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Preparation / Execution / Registration of Documents. Memorandum of Understanding, Agreement to Sale, Agreement to Lease, Sale Deeds, Lease Deed Power of Attorney, Compensation Agreements, Right of Way Agreement, Compliance Registration Act and Stamp Act pertaining to the documents.


Liaisioning Management:

·      Liasioning with Govt. officials Secretory, Director, Addl. Director, District Collectors/ADC/CO/Land Revenue Officers/ Police officials/ Forest officials.

·      Having Fruitful relations with local People, Panchayat and Land owners, Government/Non-Government authorities,legal advisors/lawyers/trade union leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Any Engineering/Graduate in any discipline
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in land acquisition, regulatory affairs, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of land acquisition processes, environmental regulations, and solar energy policies. Familiarity with federal, state, and local permitting requirements for solar projects.
  • Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management and regulatory compliance. Ability to analyze and interpret legal and technical documents.
  • Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and land acquisition management software. Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an advantage.
