This role requires asolid understanding of UAV technology, end-user requirements, and the ability to translatecomplex engineering capabilities into tangible business outcomes.You’ll be working closely with the leadership, engineering, and operations teams to identifyhigh-value opportunities, structure partnerships, and manage client engagements from leadgeneration to contract closureKey Responsibilities:Market Development & Strategy:• Identify and evaluate potential markets across defense, infrastructure, agriculture, energy,and surveillance sectors.• Map regulatory and operational requirements for UAV deployment under DGCA and defenseframeworks.• Develop go-to-market strategies aligned with product capabilities and industry demand.Client & Partnership Management:• Build and manage relationships with government agencies, defense contractors, systemintegrators, and industrial clients.• Prepare detailed proposals, RFP responses, and technical-commercial presentations.• Coordinate product demonstrations, field trials, and pilot projects with technical teams.Sales & Revenue Growth:• Manage the entire business acquisition cycle — from prospecting to negotiation and closure.• Track and achieve quarterly sales and partnership targets.• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, reports, and client documentation.Cross-Functional Coordination:• Liaise with engineering teams to communicate customer needs and feature requirements.• Work with procurement, operations, and finance for pricing, delivery timelines, andcompliance.• Contribute to long-term strategic planning for product-market alignment.Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (MBA or PGDMpreferred).• 3–6 years of experience in business development, preferably within UAV, aerospace,defense, or robotics domains.• Familiarity with UAV system architecture — including payloads, flight controllers, data links,and mission planning software.• Proven experience with government or defense tendering, empanelment, and vendorregistration processes.• Strong understanding of DGCA regulations, UAV classifications, and licensing procedures.• Demonstrated ability to handle technical discussions and interpret engineering documents forclients.Key Skills:• Business negotiation and proposal drafting• Strong analytical and market research skills• Exposure to defense procurement or industrial sales cycles• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams• Excellent written and verbal communicationWhy Join Us:Vaydyn offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, policy, and marketcreation in one of India’s most rapidly evolving deep-tech sectors.
