Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced JBoss EAP Administrator to manage and support enterprise middleware environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with JBoss EAP (versions 5, 6, 7, and newer) in various deployment modes and a strong understanding of application server architecture, performance tuning, and integration with enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain JBoss EAP in standalone, domain, and clustered modes.
  • Perform application deployments, updates, and rollbacks across Development, SIT, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Configure and manage JBoss subsystems including Datasources, JMS, Logging, Security Domains, and Web Subsystems.
  • Implement and manage JDBC drivers, connection pools, and JNDI resources.
  • Secure JBoss environments using SSL/TLS, LDAP security realms, and other best practices.
  • Integrate JBoss with Apache HTTP Server (mod_jk/mod_cluster), load balancers, and external databases.
  • Manage and configure messaging platforms (e.g., MQ, Connect Direct) in conjunction with JBoss applications.
  • Monitor server performance (CPU, memory, disk, heap, JVM) and ensure application health.
  • Analyze thread dumps, heap dumps, and GC logs to identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Perform JVM tuning and optimize JBoss configurations for stability and responsiveness.
  • Conduct capacity planning and ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex incidents.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with development, database, network, and security teams to resolve cross-functional issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with JBoss EAP administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Java EE architecture and middleware technologies.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., JConsole, VisualVM, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
