Objective of role:


We are looking for a Data Scientist for our Parts business. This person’s primary responsibility will be to coordinate with all stakeholders on functional area to analyse the problem and solving various aspects of Tech COE & Digital Manufacturing business. Stakeholder management to understand the Business Pain points and Improvement areas and implement the solution to improve the Business efficiency and productivity.


This role will be required to proactively engage with Business, Technology Partners, Data Engineers, Data science and many more cross functional teams.


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Computer Vision Expert to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge computer vision solutions for Manufacturing and Supply Chain as an IC


Roles and Responsibilities:


Design, Develop and Deploy Predictive and Prescriptive AI/ML/DS solutions/projects

Design, develop, and deploy a wide range of Machine Learning Models, including Supervised Learning (Classification, Regression), Unsupervised Learning (Clustering, Dimensionality Reduction), Deep Learning (CNNs, RNNs),

Conduct thorough Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to understand data characteristics, identify patterns, and prepare high-quality datasets for model training.

Utilize your data science expertise for Data Cleaning, Feature Engineering, And Feature Selection to Optimize Model Performance.

Develop and apply Statistical and Mathematical Models to complement ML approaches, ensuring robust solutions.

Deploy models on various platforms, including edge devices, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and on-premises infrastructure.

Evaluate model performance using various metrics, conduct A/B testing, and iterate to continuously improve Model Accuracy, Efficiency, And Generalizability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, data science) to translate business needs into actionable ML solutions across the manufacturing or automotive landscape.

Champion best practices in MLOps, including Model Training Pipelines, Version Control, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), And Automated Monitoring.

Implement Explainable AI (XAI) techniques to ensure model transparency and interpretability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, research, product) to understand requirements, define solutions, and deliver impactful results.

Document Developed Algorithms and Solutions effectively for internal knowledge sharing and future reference.

May contribute to writing proposals, research papers, and presentations related to ML projects.

Prepare technical documentation and presentations to clearly communicate technical concepts and findings.

Experience in AGILE Environment with good exposure to JIRA and GitHub.

Stay up to date on the latest Advancements In Machine Learning Research, Development, And Deployment Techniques.

Taking a hands-on role in leading the General Machine Learning, Predictive and Prescriptive ML model, and GenAI projects, while also providing technical guidance to team members.

Machine Learning Algorithms:


Supervised Learning: Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines (SVM), Random Forests, Gradient Boosting, XGBoost etc

Unsupervised Learning: K-Means Clustering, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (t-SNE) etc

Deep Learning: Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Reinforcement learning (RL) etc

LLM modelling Experience


Mandatory Skills: Classification:


Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field)

10-12 years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a focus on the manufacturing or automotive domain (preferred)

Minimum 8+ years of Expertise in applying Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics techniques to solve real-world problems.

Minimum 10 years of Extensive experience with NLP/NLU libraries and frameworks.

Proven track record of developing and deploying ML models in production environments across various platforms (Edge, Cloud, On-Premises) – minimum 8 years of experience.

Strong understanding of statistical and mathematical modelling principles, with expertise in building predictive and prescriptive models – 10+ years of experience,

Proficiency in programming languages like Python (with libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy)

Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools

Solid foundation in Explainable AI (XAI) concepts

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts.

Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Bonus Points:

Experience with specific Manufacturing or Automotive Applications of Machine Learning/NLP

Strong publication record in top ML conferences and journals.

Education Qualification:

BE/ME in Any Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with a strong focus on computer vision.
