Key Responsibilities:

1.     Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the think tank’s strategic vision and goals.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of research agendas and policy initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment between research activities and organizational mission.

2.     Research Oversight:

  • Guide and support research teams in producing high-quality, impactful research.
  • Facilitate the development of innovative research methodologies and approaches.
  • Review and approve research outputs and ensure they meet high standards of excellence.

3.     Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, academics, and industry leaders.
  • Represent the think tank at conferences, public events, and in media engagements.
  • Foster partnerships and collaborations to advance the think tank’s objectives.

4.     Organizational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure effective management of resources.
  • Lead and mentor staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage budgets and financial planning to ensure organizational sustainability.

5.     Policy Influence:

  • Drive the think tank’s efforts to influence public policy and decision-making.
  • Advocate for research findings and policy recommendations to relevant audiences.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of the think tank’s work on policy and practice.

 

 

 

Candidate’s Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • At least [15] years of experience in environmental research, policy development, or a related field, with a minimum of [5] years in a leadership or senior management role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in environmental issues and policy, with a strong track record of influencing public and environmental policy.
  • Proven ability to manage complex research projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and presentation skills, with experience in engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience in media and public speaking.
  •  A creative mind with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Financial and operational management skills, with experience in budget oversight and resource allocation.
