About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Lead Data Scientist to drive advanced data science initiatives and lead strategic AI/ML projects. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying data-driven solutions, mentoring a team of data scientists, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve high-impact business problems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead end-to-end development of data science and machine learning projects from ideation to deployment.
- Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to derive actionable insights and predictive models.
- Design, build, and validate advanced ML/DL models including classification, regression, recommendation, forecasting, and NLP-based solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to translate business requirements into data science use cases.
- Drive experimentation (A/B testing, multivariate testing) to validate hypotheses and measure business impact.
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and model serving infrastructure.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts in best practices, model optimization, and problem-solving.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in the AI/ML space and continuously upskill the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
- 48 years of hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
- Strong expertise in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch), SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or matplotlib/seaborn).
- Proven experience in solving business problems using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Deep understanding of model evaluation metrics, feature engineering, overfitting prevention, and model interpretability.
- Proficiency in handling large datasets using tools like Spark, Hadoop, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and MLOps practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
Good to Have :
- Experience with NLP, computer vision, or deep learning.
- Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and ethical AI.
- Contributions to open-source data science projects or published research.
