Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist with expertise in the Health Care domain to lead advanced AI/ML initiatives and deliver data-driven solutions that enhance healthcare outcomes. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in data science with deep understanding of healthcare data, compliance requirements, and industry challenges.

You will be responsible for driving innovation, leading a team of data scientists, and partnering with stakeholders to solve critical problems in patient care, clinical research, and healthcare operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models tailored to healthcare and life sciences use cases such as patient risk prediction, clinical decision support, medical imaging analysis, and healthcare operations optimization.

- Manage end-to-end data science projects, from data exploration and feature engineering to model development, validation, and deployment.

- Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and security standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, GDPR).

- Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and healthcare business stakeholders to translate complex medical and operational problems into scalable data science solutions.

- Provide leadership and mentorship to data scientists and analysts, fostering best practices in healthcare AI and ML.

- Partner with data engineering teams to design robust pipelines for EHR, claims, clinical trial, genomic, and imaging data.

- Implement MLOps practices for productionizing models with continuous monitoring and improvement.

- Drive POCs and innovation projects in emerging healthcare AI areas such as personalized medicine, digital health, wearables, NLP for clinical text, and generative AI in healthcare.

- Present actionable insights and outcomes to senior leadership, clinicians, and regulatory stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6 to 8 years of hands-on Data Science experience with at least 2+ years in the Health Care domain.

- Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL and libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, Hugging Face.

- Domain expertise in healthcare datasets : EHR, EMR, claims, clinical trial data, medical imaging, genomics, and unstructured clinical notes.

- Deep understanding of healthcare standards and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT codes).

- Proven experience in building solutions for predictive analytics, NLP in healthcare, computer vision (medical imaging), and population health management.

- Familiarity with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP Healthcare APIs).

- Experience in MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes) for healthcare solutions.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business communication skills with the ability to work with clinicians and cross-functional teams.

- Prior experience in leading or mentoring teams in healthcare-focused data science projects.
