Job Description: Business Development Manager.

Location: Valasaravakkam, Chennai.

This role provides practical exposure within IT- related sectors, combining creative thinking with strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans that align with company objectives.

- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to achieve growth targets.

- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.

- Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure profitable agreements.

- Business Expansion: Expand the company's client base by identifying and acquiring new clients through networking, cold calling, and relationship- building.

- Develop innovative strategies to penetrate new markets and industries.

- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve departmental goals.

- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

- Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and competitive advantage.

- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.

- Revenue Generation: Achieve sales targets and revenue goals by effectively managing the sales pipeline and forecasting.

- Track and analyze sales performance metrics to optimize strategies and maximize profitability.

- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business development initiatives using CRM software.

- Prepare regular reports and presentations on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends for senior management.

Professional Development:

- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements relevant to business development.

- Participate in professional development activities and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

- A Master's degree may be preferred.

- Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or in a similar role.

- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and business growth within the relevant industry.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

- Strategic thinking with a track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.

- In- depth understanding of market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends.

- Familiarity with digital marketing techniques and tools.

- Proven ability to network and develop relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry professionals.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem solving.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities.

- Flexibility to travel as required and to work beyond regular business hours when necessary.
