Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager - Global Commercial Division (GCD):

Manage end-to-end import operations for engineering and project equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost optimization. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping companies to streamline logistics. Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, IMDG code, customs requirements, and packaging standards. Maintain accurate and complete documentation: invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, declarations. Build and manage vendor relationships; negotiate contracts with logistics service providers and track performance. Collaborate with internal teams-engineering, procurement, and finance-to align import strategies with project timelines. Support planning and movement of ODC and capital items in coordination with logistics and site teams. Track and report import budgets, KPIs, and country-specific regulatory updates. Drive continuous improvement in supply chain and import operations for engineering and project categories. Support cross-functional initiatives related to new product development, capital expansion, and global sourcing.

The Successful Applicant

A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Experience handling import logistics within the chemical industry or similar sectors. Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping standards. Strong skills in vendor management and cost optimisation. Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools. An analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
