Role Description


We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Lead of Growth Initiatives, to lead our new revenue streams. This role will play a pivotal part in designing and executing strategies to drive ad sales, product merchandising, and revenue-enhancing opportunities through upselling and cross-selling. The ideal candidate will manage partnerships, monitor performance, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maximize growth and profitability.


Job Description


Revenue Strategy:

  • Design and implement comprehensive advertising and merchandising strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing partnerships/develop new partnerships to enhance ad placements, drive merchandising revenue and acquire new customers to the brand.


Monetization:

  • Develop and own monetization/ad sales initiatives, aiming to improve conversions and drive new revenue streams


Merchandising & Product Placement

  • Plan and execute impactful product placements across digital platforms, in-app locations, and other touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with design, marketing, and product teams to create visually appealing, revenue-generating merchandising displays and in-store/in-app placements.
  • Develop seasonal and thematic merchandising strategies aligned with holidays, product launches, or key events to maximize visibility and sales.


Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on ad and merchandising performance, identifying key trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Present detailed performance reports and insights to senior management, including potential revenue from upselling and cross-selling initiatives.


Partnership Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advertising/CRM partners, agencies, and key merchandising contacts, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Proactively identify and engage potential partners for cross-promotional and upsell opportunities.


Campaign & Merchandising Optimization

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to optimize ad campaigns and merchandising placements for maximum revenue generation.
  • Implement strategies for personalized upselling and cross-selling, utilizing data insights to inform approaches.


Key Performance Indices:

  • Monetisation Revenue
  • Conversion Improvement owing to better merchandising
  • New revenue streams through CRM, partnerships etc.
  • Sales event ownership and meeting deliverables



Requisites:

  • MBA degree with specialization in Marketing & Sales from a reputed college.
  • 5+ years of experience in advertising sales, revenue management, merchandising, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid background in data analysis, performance tracking, and revenue forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with proven experience in upselling and cross-selling.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with both digital and print advertising, as well as merchandising best practices.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape.


In this role, the successful candidate will leverage advertising and merchandising opportunities to grow revenue while effectively implementing upselling and cross-selling techniques. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, analytical insight, and relationship management to maximize every revenue opportunity.
