Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced - Support Engineer- with a strong background in - SQL- and exceptional - client handling skills- to join our dynamic team. This position requires an individual who is highly analytical, adept at troubleshooting, and capable of providing outstanding support to clients.

As a Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and products. Your technical expertise in SQL will be used to diagnose and resolve database-related issues, while your client management experience will ensure that our clients receive effective, responsive, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities :

Client Support & Communication :

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients experiencing technical issues related to the company's products or services.

- Manage client relationships by providing consistent updates and timely resolution of issues.

- Coordinate with clients to gather requirements, understand their concerns, and provide solutions to technical problems.

- Offer personalized technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting :

- Identify, investigate, and resolve issues related to database performance, software bugs, and application errors.

- Analyze SQL queries, database structure, and configurations to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

- Support users with backend operations involving databases, ensuring efficient data access, manipulation, and storage.

- Work on bug fixes, patches, and feature enhancements within the scope of client requests and technical specifications.

SQL Expertise :

- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.

- Perform database backups, recovery, and maintenance activities as required.

- Work with the development and operations teams to improve database performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Assist in monitoring database health, resolving database errors, and ensuring the integrity of client data.

Documentation and Reporting :

- Maintain accurate records of client issues, resolutions, and follow-ups using ticketing systems or CRM tools.

- Create and update knowledge base articles, guides, and documentation for both clients and internal teams.

- Generate detailed reports on issue resolutions and system performance for management review.

Collaboration with Internal Teams :

- Work closely with developers, system administrators, and product managers to understand product requirements and contribute to product improvement.

- Assist in the testing and quality assurance process by replicating client issues in a test environment and collaborating with developers to resolve them.

- Participate in cross-functional meetings to review system performance and client feedback.

Proactive Client Engagement :

- Monitor system performance and anticipate potential issues before they impact clients.

- Help clients optimize their use of the company's products by suggesting improvements or :

- Education:- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience : At least 3-5 years of experience in a support engineer or technical support role.

- Strong proficiency in - SQL- (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.), with experience in writing complex queries and troubleshooting database issues.

- Demonstrated ability to handle client-facing interactions in a professional and effective manner.

- Experience working with ticketing systems (Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow) and CRM tools.

Technical Skills :

- Knowledge of database architecture, SQL performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

- Familiarity with database management systems (DBMS) and backend troubleshooting techniques.

- Experience in scripting languages like Python, Shell, or PowerShell is a plus.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical clients.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
