Role Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Sales and Marketing to lead and expand our national and international sales efforts. This leadership role involves defining growth strategy, developing key customer relationships, building a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue through both direct and channel-based models.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategy to drive revenue growth across domestic and international markets.
- Identify and acquire new clients in core industries such as infrastructure, railways, shipbuilding, fabrication, and defense.
- Lead and manage the sales team—including hiring, mentoring, and performance tracking.
- Build strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and marketing to tailor solutions that meet customer needs.
- Forecast sales targets and prepare budgets, tracking performance against defined KPIs.
- Develop distribution and channel partner strategies for regional and national expansion.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing while ensuring profitability and long-term engagement.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer insights to refine strategy.
- Represent Ultramet Welds at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings.
- Ensure CRM systems and sales processes are effectively implemented and updated.
- Prepare regular sales reports for senior leadership and advise on business opportunities.
Requirements
- MBA from IIM or other top-tier B-school (preferred)
- 10+ years of B2B industrial sales experience (welding, steel, engineering products preferred)
- Proven track record of leading high-performance sales teams and achieving growth targets
- Strong understanding of industrial sales cycles, channel dynamics, and value-based selling
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel extensively
