Position Overview:

The General Manager - Sales and Marketing will be responsible for overseeing and driving the overall sales and marketing strategy for the company's PEB, Fire Fighting, Steel Fabrication, and related product lines. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a results-driven approach to enhance market presence, increase revenue, and manage a national sales team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in these industries and the ability to manage both domestic and export markets.


Key Responsibilities:


Pan-India Sales and Marketing Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a nationwide sales and marketing team.
  • Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance benchmarks for regional teams.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure the team meets sales goals.


Market Research and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to expand the company’s market share.
  • Stay updated with industry developments in PEB, Fire Fighting, and Steel Fabrication sectors.


Lead Generation and Business Development:

  • Develop strategies for generating qualified leads and new business opportunities in domestic and export markets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive product development in response to market demand.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients through various channels.


Customer Relationship Management (CRM):

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage customer interactions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Handle key accounts and develop strategies to grow client portfolios.


Sales Presentations and Negotiation:

  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to potential clients and key decision-makers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals while maintaining profitability.
  • Collaborate with the internal legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.


Export Marketing:

  • Develop and implement export marketing strategies to tap into international markets.
  • Understand and navigate regulations, certifications, and requirements for export markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with international distributors and partners to drive export sales.


Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA is preferred).


Experience:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in marketing and sales in the PEB, Fire Fighting, Steel Fabrication, or Fire Fighting Product Manufacturing industries.
  • Hands-on experience in handling Pan-India sales and managing large sales teams.


Skills:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in market research and lead generation techniques.
  • Knowledge of export marketing and international trade regulations.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales management tools.


Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India and internationally as required.
