What is the role?

We are looking for someone who is resourceful and contributes to creating a powerful, organic content engine at Gallabox. We are at an exciting and critical stage of growth and you will play a key role in it. 


You will help with keyword research, optimizing website content, analyzing performance metrics, and staying up-to-date with search engine algorithms and best practices. As an early-stage employee, you will be part of a highly motivated and focused team that is on a fast-paced growth trajectory. You will work closely with the marketing team to achieve your goals.


Gallabox is based in Chennai and this is a work-from-office role.


What would your responsibilities be?


In this role, you will handle:


Keyword research

  • Conduct research to identify high-performing keywords and phrases relevant to the company’s target audience.
  • Analyze keyword trends and adjust strategies to align with market demands.


On-page optimization

  • Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and images to improve search engine rankings.
  • Ensure website content is high-quality, relevant, and engaging for users.


Technical SEO

  • Perform site audits to identify and resolve technical issues affecting search engine performance.
  • Optimize website structure, URL structure, and internal linking for better crawlability and indexing.


Off-Page SEO


  • Develop and execute link-building strategies to enhance the website’s authority and credibility.
  • Monitor and manage the website’s backlink profile to prevent and address any harmful links.


Content Strategy


  • Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content that attracts and retains users.
  • Provide guidelines and recommendations for content creation and optimization.


Analytics and Reporting


  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools to track website performance and user behavior.
  • Generate and present regular reports on SEO performance, traffic, rankings, and other key metrics.


Stay Updated


  • Keep up with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
  • Adapt strategies and tactics to align with evolving search engine guidelines and industry changes.


Competitor Analysis


  • Monitor and analyze competitors’ SEO strategies and performance.
  • Identify opportunities and threats based on competitive analysis.


Besides these, you will:

  • Keep up with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
  • Adapt strategies and tactics to align with evolving search engine guidelines and industry changes.


You would be a good fit for this role if you…


  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in SEO, preferably in B2B/SaaS. 
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • Have a strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
  • Have proficiency in SEO tools and platforms (including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs).
  • Have experience with content management systems (bonus points for Webflow). 
  • Are familiar with HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles.
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Have a strong understanding of the SEO practices across different global regions.
