Position : Head - HR

at the campus of MIT Vishwaprayag University, Solapur


  • Shall report to the Registrar of the University
  • Support the human factor in the University by devising strategies for performance evaluation, competency matrix, staffing, training and development etc.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with all kinds of employees of the University
  • Talent hunt and acquisition for all Academic and Non-Academic Positions
  • Verifying the eligibility as per UGC and other APEX bodies norms viz AICTE | PCI etc norms
  • Performing employee background checks and verifying information.
  • Participating in employee on-boarding and exit processes as per norms.
  • Liaising between employees and management.
  • Employee Induction , orientation and training
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards
  • Orienting and counselling the staff where and when ever required
  • Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
  • Documenting the best practices and incorporating them into the Universities' HR Policy
  • HRMS Automation and organizing the employee data in the most appropriate way
  • Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics on a regular basis


Essential qualifications:

  • Doctorate / Post Graduate in Human Resource Management from a reputed University.
  • At least 15 years of significant experience in HR Management preferably in higher education sector or with reputed organizations
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices

  • Full understanding of the vision of the organization and how it operates to meet its objectives

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
