Job Purpose

  • To analyze, document, and validate business requirements for Equity Cash, Equity Index, and Derivatives trading systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology capabilities. The role involves working closely with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to deliver enhancements and new functionalities that improve trading, clearing, and settlement processes.

Key Result Areas

Requirement Analysis & Documentation

  • Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories.
  • Maintain and update Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).

Solution Design Support

  • Collaborate with solution architects and developers to ensure requirements are technically feasible.
  • Participate in design walkthroughs and provide business context.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Prepare and review test cases for functional and UAT phases.
  • Coordinate UAT execution, defect triage, and resolution tracking.
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet agreed requirements.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

  • Act as a bridge between business users, technology teams, and vendors.
  • Manage requirement clarifications and change requests.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve system usability.
  • Recommend enhancements based on user feedback and market trends

Knowledge Sharing & Mentoring

  • Guide other team members in documentation standards, requirement gathering, and requirement analysis practices.
  • Share domain knowledge on capital markets and trading systems.

Preferred Profile: -

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, Agile BA, NCFM Capital Markets) preferred.

Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services or capital markets technology.
  • Hands‑on experience with trading platforms, order management systems, or exchange connectivity.
  • Exposure to regulatory compliance in securities markets.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of capital markets, trade life cycle, and derivatives products.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (Visio, JIRA, Confluence, MS Office).
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with APIs, FIX protocol, or market data feeds is an advantage.
  • Solid grasp of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
