Position Purpose :

A Database Manager is a professional who manages, develops and maintains the company's databases , data storage methods and database retrieval systems. The Database Manager ensures the safety of the data by implementing the security programs as defined by the company's security policies and security guidelines mandated by the regulatory authorities.

Position Responsibilities :

Sr. Key Responsibilities :

1. Ensure data accuracy by analysing current processes and developing future strategies to improve business efficiency.

2. Performs regular strategic analysis of the DB infrastructure and makes recommendations on improvements and/or new systems required to meet business needs and future capacity.

3. Ability to provide 24x7 support.

4. Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) preparation and testing.

5. Available during P1/P2/P3 issues and guide the team ensuring timely support and usage of proper escalation matrix.

6. Produce basic project plans, root cause analysis documents, change/risk assessments, and product management documentation.

7. Monitoring database efficiency.

8. Create and update documentation including SOP's and Work and Experience Requirement :


Qualifications :

- Essential OCP 12c/19C/21C Oracle Certified Professional along with IT Graduation/Master's degree

Experience :

- Essential 15+ years of experience as a Oracle DBA or similar role

- Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c, 19C versions (18 & 19 Additional benefits)

- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products (clients, RAC 2 nodes, stand Along)

- Good Understanding of RAC (2 nodes or 3 nodes) and its services

- Understanding Active/Passive, Active-Active (ASM Cluster)

1. A good knowledge of the physical database design

2. A good understanding of the underlying operating system (Unix (Linux, Solaris & AIX)), Partitioning (Partition Tables and its type understanding Range, Hash etc)

3. Indexing (Local and Global Index, its benefits and drawbacks)

4.Worked on Heavy databases 100+ TB (Filesystem and ASM)

5. Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures (Level0, level1, level2 & Logical Backup Exports)

6. Different backup and recovery scenarios understanding through Native Backup Tools.

7. Restoration backup (point in time recovery)

8. Implement and maintain Database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges, Encryption Techniques, Data masking, RBI Compliance)

9. Perform database tuning and performance monitoring and Plan changing understanding, how to fix plan

10. Perform application tuning and performance monitoring

11. Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required.

12. Good Understanding of Cloud Databases.

13. Good Understanding of Data Integration and ETL.

14. Good understanding of Performance Tuning and Optimization.
