Responsible for leading end-to-end SAP Retail projects, driving solution architecture, and ensuring seamless integration of retail processes across merchandising, supply chain, and store operations.Key Responsibilities1. Solution Architecture & Design Lead SAP IS-Retail solution design across major business areas: Master Data (Article, Site, Vendor, Customer) Merchandising & Buying Purchasing & Procurement (Seasonal & regular) Pricing, Promotions, Markdowns Assortment & Listing Management Replenishment & Inventory Management Distribution & Logistics (DC, Cross-Docking) POS Integration (CAR/POSDM) Conduct high-level FIT-GAP analysis and recommend best-practice retail solutions. Prepare detailed functional specifications for complex RICEFW objects.2. Project Leadership Lead SAP Retail implementation, rollout, or S/4HANA migration projects. Act as a functional lead for MM-Retail or cross-functional workstreams. Work closely with project managers, development teams, and business leaders. Plan and execute UAT, integration testing, and cutover activities.3. Business Process OptimizationAnalyze and optimize retail processes, improving efficiency and reducing operational bottlenecks. Implement automation and enhancements using SAP standard capabilities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across master data, pricing, and merchandise management. 4. Production Support & Issue ResolutionProvide L2/L3 support for critical retail operations. Troubleshoot issues related to: Article creation/listing Promotion pricing Replenishment failures POS data inconsistencies Work with FI, SD, WM/EWM, and CAR teams for cross-module issues.5. Documentation & Training Create process documentation, SODs, configuration documents, and training materials. Conduct workshops and training sessions for key business users and support teams.Skills & ExpertiseTechnical Expertise Strong command over SAP IS-Retail (MM-Retail, SD, Listing, Assortments). In-depth knowledge of: Pricing (VK11/12, WAK1, Markdown, Promotions) Article Master Variants (Generic/Variants, Fashion if applicable) POS integration, CAR, POSDM Inventory & Supply Chain processes (Replenishment, Allocations) Experience with S/4HANA Retail (Bonus if hands-on with Fashion/Retail). Domain Expertise Deep understanding of retail business processes in sectors such as: Fashion & Apparel Grocery Electronics FMCG Department Stores Soft Skills Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities. Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions. Experience Requirements 10+ years in SAP IS-Retail consulting. Minimum 2–4 full lifecycle SAP Retail implementations. Hands-on experience with S/4HANA Retail migration or implementation preferred. Experience working with Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
