the jobJob Description: Content ManagerCompany: Content & SEOExperience: 4-7 Years (EdTech preferred)Location: On-siteRole OverviewWe are seeking a Content Manager to lead the planning, creation, optimization, and performance of website content across Exams, Colleges, Courses, Admissions, Scholarships & Careers.The ideal candidate will manage a team, ensure accuracy and compliance, and drive organic growth and lead conversions through structured and SEO-consistent content.Key Responsibilities- Build and manage content strategy aligned with student journeys & business goals.- Lead a team of writers/editors to publish high-quality, timely education content.- Drive SEO-first practices: Keyword research, On-page optimization, Structuring content.- Maintain content governance: accuracy, fact verification, and compliance with authorities like NTA, UGC, AICTE, NCERT, State Councils.- Develop and execute content calendar around admission cycles & exam timelines.- Plan periodic content refresh and fix performance gaps using analytics.- Collaborate with design, SEO, product and teams to enhance user pathways.- Ensure proper interlinking, schema usage, and content formatting for rankings.- Manage and optimize CTAs and conversion-driven content modules to boost lead generation.- Provide weekly dashboards on traffic, rankings, engagement & conversions.KPIs / Success Metrics- Organic Traffic Growth (MoM, YoY)- Improvement in keyword rankings for competitive categories- Engagement scores - Time on Page, Scroll Depth, Bounce Rate- Lead Generation through conversion CTAs- Content delivery efficiency - Quality & TAT adherence- Content accuracy and zero compliance errorsRequired Skills & Competencies- Strong knowledge of Higher Education, Exams, Admissions & Career content- Expertise in SEO tools - GA4, GSC, Ahrefs/SEMrush, ScreamingFrog- CMS handling experience with large-scale content operations- Excellent research, editing & proofreading skills- Strong stakeholder and team management ability- Data-first mindset - ability to extract insights & act quickly- Comfort working in fast-paced academic cyclesPreferred Background- EdTech platform experience (e.g. Shiksha, Collegedunia, Careers360, Aglasem)- Managed structured content across thousands of content pages- Experience in growing a websites organic footprint at scaleIdeal Candidate Qualities- Obsessed with student success and credible information delivery- Strong planner with decisive leadership skills- Able to balance quality + speed + performance (ref:iimjobs.com)
