Head of Innovation (Director level but wants hands on person)

This role will head the innovation team for MIT. Along with Innovation and AI leadership. This person should be hands on technically. Someone with strong product development background. We are majorly react on front end. Java/Python on backend. Docker , Kubernetes skills and cloud experiences along with AI.

Job Description:

Overview: As an Innovation Leadership AI Specialist, you will be at the forefront of leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to drive innovation within the organization. You will be responsible for leading AI-driven initiatives, identifying opportunities for AI implementation, and spearheading projects that enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness.

Responsibilities:

AI Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with senior management to define the organization's AI strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify areas where AI can drive innovation and create value across different departments and functions.
  • Develop a roadmap for AI implementation, considering technology trends, market dynamics, and organizational capabilities.

Project Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, and implementation of AI solutions.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful delivery.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the team.

AI Application Development:

  • Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop AI models and algorithms tailored to specific business needs.
  • Oversee the deployment of AI applications into production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and end-users, to understand their requirements and priorities.
  • Communicate the value proposition of AI initiatives and garner support for adoption across the organization.
  • Provide training and guidance to empower teams to leverage AI tools and technologies effectively.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of AI initiatives on business outcomes.
  • Monitor AI systems and algorithms, identify opportunities for optimization, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading AI projects or initiatives, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Deep understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and deep learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
