Job Description – Website Manager

Position: Website Developer/Manager

Location: ISBR Business School, Bangalore

Employment Type: Full-Time


We are seeking a Website Developer/Manager to oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our educational institution's online presence. This role is essential in supporting our mission to provide students, faculty, and staff with a seamless digital experience, as well as serving as an engaging platform for prospective students and the community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing our website to ensure it is user-friendly, informative, and aligned with institutional goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain a responsive, visually appealing website that meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Update and maintain accurate and relevant content, working closely with academic and administrative departments.

Troubleshoot and resolve any website-related technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Work with academic and administrative departments to ensure that website content is current, accurate, and aligns with the institution’s messaging on a regular basis.

Regularly update pages, contents, events, and announcements to reflect the latest information.

Conduct usability tests to improve the website's navigation, layout, and functionality for a broad audience, including students, faculty, parents, and alumni.

Use analytics tools to monitor website traffic and behaviour, providing insights and recommendations for enhancements.

Ensure the website is secure, compliant with data privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, GDPR), and in line with institution-wide IT policies.

Regularly update software, plugins, and themes to safeguard the website against potential security threats.

Manage web development projects from conception to completion, coordinating with IT, marketing, and departmental teams to ensure objectives are met.

Liaise with external vendors when necessary for web hosting, development, and maintenance.

Implement and monitor uptime measures to ensure the website is accessible at all times.



Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Application, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Certification in Website Development or Management is a plus.

Proven experience as a Website Developer or Manager, ideally within an educational environment.

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the relevant field.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of web development tools and management software is a must.

Project Management: Strong coordination skills to work across teams and manage multiple web initiatives.
