Role Purpose & Objective:

- Lead the creation and periodic refinement of the bank's medium- to long-term liabilities strategy, ensuring alignment with the organizational vision and regulatory requirements.

- Translate strategic objectives into actionable business plans and measurable outcomes for all liabilities products.

- Identify, plan, and drive strategic initiatives to achieve CASA growth, term deposit mobilization, cost of funds optimization, and branch/channel productivity.

- Work closely with the business and leadership teams to address market dynamics, emerging trends, and evolving customer needs.

- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of liabilities strategy initiatives.

- Focus on portfolio growth, diversification, and scale across deposits and other liabilities products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategies to drive growth in CASA, term deposits, and other liabilities products.

- Partner with product, marketing, analytics, and branch teams to design innovative deposit products and campaigns.

- Monitor portfolio performance including deposit growth, CASA ratio, cost of funds, and profitability, and implement corrective actions.

- Prepare business cases, reports, and presentations for senior management and board on liabilities strategy initiatives.

- Lead cross-functional projects focused on process optimization, digital adoption, and operational efficiency.

- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and industry trend analysis to guide strategic decisions.

- Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with RBI guidelines for all liabilities products.

- Mentor and guide junior team members on liabilities strategy, analytics, and reporting.

Desired candidate profile:

- 10-15 years of progressive experience in banking, financial services, or strategic consulting. Should have experience in strategy or consulting role in Banking or consulting industry.

- Qualification: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent qualification from reputed institution with specialization in Strategy, Finance, or Banking

- Certifications in Strategic Planning, Digital Transformation or Business Analytics will be advantageous.
