Regional Head – Air & Ocean Freight (West India) Location:Mumbai Experience:12–18 years |Industry:Freight Forwarding / Logistics Reports To:National Product Head – Air & Ocean Team Size:4–5 Direct Reports | ~150 OverallAbout the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced logistics professional to lead theAir & Ocean Freight operationsfor theWestern Region . The incumbent will be responsible for driving the business’sP&L , ensuring operational excellence, and leading a large cross-functional team to achieve sustainable growth acrossair exports, imports, and cross-tradelanes.Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage end-to-endAir & Ocean freight operationsfor the western region. Driveprofitability and P&L performance , ensuring revenue and margin targets are achieved. Collaborate with sales, pricing, and global operations teams to deliver seamless customer solutions. Lead, mentor, and motivate regional teams to ensure high operational performance and service quality. Implement process improvements, digital tools, and cost-optimization strategies to enhance efficiency. Manage relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors to support business growth. Ensure adherence to company policies, ISO standards, and all statutory / trade compliance requirements. Provide data-driven insights throughMIS reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards .Ideal Candidate Profile 12–18 years of experience infreight forwarding / logistics, with proven exposure toAir & Ocean Freight along with MNC company exposure. Prior experience inP&L managementor leading a regional product vertical is essential. Strong understanding ofinternational trade, customs compliance, and carrier negotiations . Excellentleadership, communication, and stakeholder managementskills. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business decisions. Graduate in any discipline (MBA / PG in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred).
