It’s an opportunity to:Shape systems from the ground up – be part of establishing best-in-class maintenance practices for a brand-new training hub.Work with the latest simulator technology – Airbus A320 configurations, modern motion systems, and advanced visual platforms.Be a pioneer – as one of the first members of our technical team, you’ll play a critical role in building the DNA of Blue Angels Air’s safety and reliability culture.Grow with us – as the centre expands, early joiners will naturally grow into leadership and specialist roles, gaining recognition as the founding technical team of India’s most advanced ATO.Joining Blue Angels Air now means becoming part of a transformational aviation project — one that will define how the next generation of airline pilots are trained in India.For more information click here https://blueangelsair.com/vacancies/Role DescriptionRegulatory & Compliance OversightEnsure all maintenance activities comply with DGCA CAR, OEM Manuals & International Regulatory Standards.Ensure adherence to QTG schedules and support DGCA grading or audits.Liaise with DGCA inspectors, auditors, and certification teams during QTG runs, approvals, and periodic audits.Technical ManagementOversee preventive and corrective maintenance of simulators, visual systems, motion platforms, and CBT/TMS-linked hardware.Plan and execute maintenance schedules to ensure simulator 95%+ uptime/availability.Implement reliability monitoring systems and manage spare parts inventory.Lead fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and vendor escalation with OEMs (Airbus, SIM International, ASTROM, etc.).Leadership & Team DevelopmentManage, train, and mentor the Simulator Maintenance Engineers and Technicians.Establish a strong Safety & Quality culture within the maintenance team.Ensure 24/7 support coverage through proper shift and standby planning.Strategic & Operational ContributionSupport installation, calibration, and acceptance of simulator upgrades or modifications.Support budgeting, cost control, and CAPEX planning for maintenance infrastructure.Safety & Risk ManagementConduct regular risk assessments on simulator operations.Ensure strict adherence to Blue Angels Air’s Safety Management System (SMS).Report and investigate technical incidents or simulator downtime events.QualificationsMandatoryDiploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering.5+ years of hands-on experience in maintaining Level D simulators or Airline/MRO Technical Management.Familiarity with CAE, MPS, L3, Sim International or equivalent simulator systems.Strong Knowledge of DGCA/EASA Simulator Regulations and OEM maintenance practices including QTG & MQTG requirements.Proven leadership in managing maintenance teams.Preferred:Experience in setting up new ATO facility or managing multiple simulators.Previous post as a DGCA Approved Head of Maintenance (ATO), or equivalent authority position.Key CompetenciesTechnical expertise in FFS/FTD operations and avionics systems.Strong Leadership, Planning & Team Management.Shift Planning & Workload Management.Audit Preparation & Documentation Oversight.Availability KPI Monitoring (>98%).Project Management (Installations/Refits).Excellent communication (English essential, Hindi/Marathi preferred).
