The Assistant Manager – Warehouse Sales / Business Development will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving sales for warehouse services, and developing strong relationships with clients. This role involves managing end-to-end sales processes, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure, while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention. The position will also involve market research, competitor analysis, and strategic planning to support it's growth in the logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Business Development :

    • Identify and target potential clients in need of warehousing and supply chain solutions.

    • Drive new business through cold calls, networking, referrals, and attending industry events.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

    • Understand clients' warehousing and logistics needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Sales Strategy :

    • Develop and execute sales strategies for acquiring new business and growing the current client portfolio.

    • Collaborate with the sales team to create pricing proposals and tenders.

    • Lead the negotiation process, including terms and conditions, pricing, and contracts.

  • Market Research & Analysis :

    • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor offerings.

    • Analyze client needs, industry trends, and competitor performance to refine sales approaches.

  • Customer Relationship Management :

    • Ensure excellent post-sales support and client satisfaction.

    • Track and analyze sales metrics, ensuring sales targets and KPIs are met.

    • Work closely with the operations and warehouse teams to ensure smooth service delivery to clients.

  • Reporting :

    • Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management.

    • Monitor and track sales activities, performance, and key metrics.

  • Collaboration & Teamwork :

    • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, marketing, and customer service) to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

    • Support senior management in sales planning and strategy development.

Key Skills & Qualifications :
  • Education :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Experience :

    • 3-5 years of experience in sales/business development, with a focus on warehousing, logistics, or supply chain solutions.

    • Proven track record of generating new business and meeting sales targets.

  • Skills :

    • Strong understanding of warehousing operations, logistics, and supply chain management.

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

    • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

    • Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset.

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
