Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP system administration, performance tuning, and technical support, with mandatory skills in both ABAP and JAVA systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of multiple SAP landscapes while

adhering to industry best practices and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor and maintain SAP systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Manage and support ABAP and JAVA systems (mandatory), with additional exposure to BOBJ, BODS, Cloud Connector, Content Server, and OpenText considered an advantage.
  • Perform SSL and SSO configuration, including certificate exchange, renewal, and trust relationship setup between systems.
  • Configure and manage SAP Web Dispatcher for load balancing and system routing.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support for SAP environments, including:
  • Transport and printer administration.
  • Job scheduling.
  • Designing and implementing operational requirements.
  • Maintain multiple SAP instances across Development, Testing, Training, and Production landscapes.
  • Manage the Correction and Transport System (CTS) to ensure controlled migration of configuration and development objects.
  • Plan, execute, and document technical changes using a structured approach to minimize risks.
  • Configure and maintain the SAP printing subsystem.
  • Implement and monitor SAP performance tuning strategies.
  • Monitor system health, including work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer/system traces, and disk space usage.
  • Execute application upgrades, patches, and client copies across SAP systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of SAP BASIS administration in both ABAP and JAVA environments.
  • Good understanding of SAP system architecture, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Experience in SSL/SSO configurations, certificate management, and system integration.
  • Proficiency in system monitoring and performance tuning techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Web Dispatcher, CTS, and SAP printing subsystems.
  • Familiarity with BOBJ, BODS, Cloud Connector, Content Server, and OpenText (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage client bridge calls and cross-team coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively in rotational shifts and under pressure.
