Job Title: Veritas Technical Engineer


Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Veritas Technical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of implementation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Veritas products and solutions, along with a proven track record of successful implementation projects. As a Veritas Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Veritas solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

1.   Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into Veritas solution and scope designs.

2.   Plan and execute Veritas solution implementations, ensuring successful deployment within agreed timelines and budgets and get successful signoff from the client.

3.   Configure and optimize Veritas products such as Flex Appliance, NetBackup/ALTA Data Protection, Enterprise Vault to meet client needs.

4.   Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of Veritas solutions to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.

5.   Provide technical support to clients during and after implementation, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.

6.   Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, support, and product development, to deliver comprehensive Veritas solutions.

7.   Stay updated on the latest Veritas technologies, features, and best practices to continuously improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.

8.   Document implementation processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Requirements:

1.   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2.   Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing Veritas solutions in enterprise environments.

3.   Strong knowledge of Veritas product suite, including NetBackup, Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault, and InfoScale.

4.   Proficiency in configuring and managing Veritas solutions across various operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX).

5.   Experience in designing and implementing backup and recovery solutions, data archiving, and high availability solutions using Veritas products.

6.   Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.

7.   Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.

8.   Veritas certifications (e.g., Veritas Certified Specialist) are highly desirable.

9.   Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
