Product Management at Capital One is a critical, vibrant craft that requires a blend of entrepreneurial drive, keen business acumen, customer experience obsession, technical depth and strong people leadership.We’re looking for a Senior Director, Product Management to join the Machine Learning Experience (MLX) teamThe MLX team is at the forefront of how Capital One builds and deploys responsible ML models and features; we onboard and educate associates on the ML platforms and products that the whole company uses; we drive new innovation and research; and we’re working to seamlessly infuse Generative AI and ML into the fabric of the company. The AI experience we're creating is the foundation upon which our lines of business will continue to deliver next-generation machine learning-driven products and services for our customers.Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy for your area of responsibility - Deeply understand the needs of data scientists, machine learning engineers and model risk officers across Capital One - Partner with business and technology leadership to align on prioritization of key problems to be solved to maximize business and customer outcomes - Collaborate with teams in India and USA to drive alignment with different teams working on the platform - Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design - Responsible for a team of directly reporting product managers - Maintain a healthy backlog of work and play a critical role in many agile ceremonies. - Support the team with escalation and resolution of impediments - Serve as the connection between customers, Capital One’s mission, and your teamWe want you if you are:- Interested in building lasting relationships with peers and having fun while building products that delight customers and drive value to the business - You enjoy putting yourself in the shoes of customers to identify their pain points and then collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve these customer challenges. Even better if you have experience doing this for data scientists and machine learning engineers - You are a learner who is able to quickly get up to speed in a highly technical environment - Passionate about building a well-rounded product management skill set that is human centered, business focused, and technology driven with an emphasis on integrated problem solving and people leadership - You are experienced working in an Agile environment - You are a do-er who can also zoom out and think strategically - You have excellent oral and written communication skills - You are highly collaborative and have the ability to influence and leadBasic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree - At least 15 years of experience in product management or at least 12 years of experience in business analysis or data science - At least 5 years of people leadership experience leading product manager teamsPreferred Qualifications:- MBA or Master’s degree - Experience building products for data scientists, machine learning engineers or model risk officers - Expertise in observability, logging, monitoring, tracing, AIOps and MLOps. - Experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies - Experience working at a startup or in a startup environment
